Digital publishing leader De Marque’s recent momentum continues with a trip to Asia to introduce Cantook, its advanced digital book distribution technology, to this burgeoning market.

De Marque President and CEO Marc Boutet attended the IFLA’s World Library and Information Congress in Singapore, where he presented the project alongside Suzanne Payette, president of Québec’s public libraries.  He will now attend the Beijing International Book Fair from August 28th to September 1st, as a part of the Canada Books delegation (stand E2.G02).

The Cantook technology

With digital distribution platforms spread throughout Canada, France and Italy, De Marque currently distributes more than 50,000 books from over 550 publishers to over 200 retailers. Thanks to Cantook technology, books are put on sale to the general public through a vast network of booksellers, which includes Amazon, Apple, and Kobo.

Developed by De Marque in collaboration with BiblioPresto (a group of representatives from the Quebec book industry), enables public libraries to acquire ebooks, and in turn lend these digital titles to their users.
